FRESH TERRITORY is the brand new CD and it's being released this spring! One of the songs on the album is Power from Above, a present-day gospel song warning that every day is judgment day and that we need salvation from global warming.

A good way to begin reversing the global warming trend is to start global cooling. In other words, start doing more with renewable energy sources like wind and sun. I read the other day that the Statue of Liberty is now powered 100% by wind. What a great symbol for all of us "yearning to breathe free."

What's best for the environment, and what's best for the economy, do not have to be mutually exclusive. And yet that's how some pitch the argument. Anytime anyone says to me "the answer is clear and simple" then proceeds to argue for one side or the other, I know I'm not getting the whole story. Nothing is clear and simple.

That's why I like to explore ideas and issues through music. French composer Claude Debussy said that music is the space between the notes. Not only is that where rhythm exists, it's where logical, ethical and emotional mysteries live. I believe music helps us read between the lines.

Power from Above Chorus

Just a little more power from above;
Just a little more faith, respect and love
For this old earth, our only home.
It may take strength to say no to that power from below
But there's salvation in the power from above.
