January 1999
Well, it has been a while. Happy New Year. I had a blast welcoming in the new year first with an outdoor hot tub experience at 7 below zero, then a First Night Concert with Peggy Eyres in Gloversville. Then we drove to Red Creek, NY, to finish something we began with Dan Duggan in September: a trio album due sometime in 1999!
Back in November, the three of us showcased at the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference in Lake Harmony, PA. To balance the all-too-brief stage time, the following night we played and sang for 4 hours while folks stopped by to listen, to share a tune or two, or a brew. (This has led to some very interesting performance opportunities, so keep an eye on the concert schedule.) By the way, we've seen many names for the trio come and go, but like spaghetti that's not ready, none of them stuck. If you've got a name for Dan, Peggy and me, email it now! Until the right one comes along we're still Berggren, Eyres & Duggan.
Coming soon - the last week of March I'll be returning to Bulgaria and will be giving at least one concert there; and the last week of April I'll be doing some concerts in the Adirondacks with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra.
Remember, one antidote to cabin fever is making, listening, or dancing to music with friends.
