November 2004
Another season, another series of transitions. Sometimes it's hard to nail down the end of one and the beginning of another. There are national transitions like elections, and there are the local ones like "when was your first frost?" And often it all blends together.
I'm grateful for musical friends -- lots of exciting concerts this fall with Dan Duggan and Peggy Lynn, and I got to sing at my alma mater Minerva Central School in Olmstedville. On the horizon, I'll be traveling and performing with a new group Common Thread. Consisting of Vermonters Karen Sutherland, Mark Sustic, Shari McMahon and me, Common Thread is heading to the mountains of Transylvania next March and April to bring music from both sides of Lake Champlain to hospitals and orphanages in Romania. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
As the temperature and snowflakes drop, peace be with you this holiday season.
