"Well My Dear, It's Time to Go" was commissioned by the friends of Skye Farm Camp to honor Harold Shippey upon his retirement. You'll hear the last verse fade from the studio to the live event where the song was premiered on February 28, 2009.

"Annea Rose" is the first of many songs for my granddaughter. It was written late on February 14th, her birth day, and recorded a few days later with a single microphone in glorious mono.

"When Spring Comes" was written during a blizzard on March 21, 1998. This version is on ROOTED IN THE MOUNTAINS and was recorded at the Fredonia College Lodge in the spring of 2001.
